Ken Harvey, President and CEO , JAKA Consulting Group

Ken Harvey is the President and CEO of JAKA Consulting Group, a company that offers a strategic process that incorporates sports to accomplish business goals for its clients. A former student at the University of California Berkeley, Ken was drafted to NFL in 1988 in the first round.  After 11 years of dominating American football in the National Football League (NFL) and achieving the status of being elected as one of the seventy greatest players on his team, Ken Harvey strove for new heights.  Once he completed his NFL career, he began his second career as a media personality, motivational speaker, published writer and later the president of the Washington Redskins Alumni chapter. During his tenure with the group, he helped raise millions of dollars for underprivileged children.

Ken has exemplified creativity and out-of-the-box thinking as he channeled his energies into ownership of a video production company among his other businesses. As a writer and creator, he explored concepts and ideas and gave visual substance to others’ thoughts.

Ken later became CEO and President of JAKA Consulting Group where he once again focused on innovation. As a firm believer in using and understanding one’s gifts and resources as a platform to greater heights, Ken has used sports as the platform for the concept of Sportilization, This trademark process gave him the ability to interview presidential candidate Hilary Clinton, where Ken gained access to her by utilizing sports to build a trust and rapport, thus encouraging the candidate to open up in her interview.

Ken has taken his ability to speak to government officials, top executives and various organizations and combined it with the fundamental foundation of sports as a tool to bring sports and entertainment into the space arena. . SpaceSportilization.com  was launched to create an exciting portal that will increase the visibility of space commercialization  and bridge the gap between sports and space.

Ken is currently a member of the NFL Players Association, The Greater Washington Sports Alliance, and several leadership groups. He writes a monthly news letter in which he combines sports and business and the similarities between them. He also works with the Washington post. Com and Comcast Sportsnet as a commentator. Some of the other organizations his company  has worked with are,  Marriott International Inc., National Defense University, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Space Adventures, and Richard Garriott, (The sixth private citizen to go to space). One of the main focuses for Ken’s company is to use Sportilization as a tool to create new business venues.
